House chief leaves for public-company auditing group

Posted by Keturah Hetrick on Nov. 14, 2018

After working her way up the Hill to become chief of staff, Rep. Martha Roby's (R-Ala.) top aide has headed to the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, the government-established nonprofit created to oversee audits of public companies.

Victoria Miller Matous joins the PCAOB as director of the group's newly created Office of External Affairs, which handles public affairs, government relations and outreach work. Matous had spent her entire professional life on the Hill, previously working for Rep. Pete Sessions (R-Texas) and Sen. Richard Shelby (R-Ala.).

Mike Albares has moved up as Roby's new chief of staff.
