Former Hill defense aide lobbies for military clients

Posted by Nate Hoffman on Jan. 24, 2014

A former Senate military legislative assistant is now defending clients' interests before Congress.

Lobbying filings released this week indicated that Jeremy D'Aloisio, the former legislative staffer for Sen. Mo Cowan (D-Mass.) and Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.), has worked with six clients in his first quarter as the government affairs director for G2G Consulting LLC. He lobbied Congress and the Pentagon on issues related to the military, biosciences and health care.

One client, Arteriocyte Medical Systems Inc., had their Magellan Bio-Bandage approved last month by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services as a treatment option for chronic wound care. The announcement came three months after the company was awarded over $101 million from the Department of Health and Human Services to improve the product.

The George Washington University graduate brings more than six years of congressional experience with him to K Street. After interning for Kerry, he joined the Democrat's official staff as a staff assistant before being promoted to a legislative correspondent. Once the senator left Capitol Hill for Foggy Bottom, D'Aloisio moved to Cowan's office as a legislative assistant, where his legislative portfolio included defense, budget and judiciary issues.
