Posted by Nate Hoffman on Feb. 19, 2014

Rep. Ann Wagner (R-Mo.) has lost her top legislative aide to the Center for Capital Markets Competitiveness.

Brian O'Shea had been the congresswoman's legislative director for the past year. In addition to assisting her in the personal office, O'Shea advised Wagner on financial issues related to her assignments on the House Financial Services Committee. His other Hill experience was with Rep. Quico Canseco (R-Texas). As Canseco's senior legislative assistant and legislative director, O'Shea tackled financial policy questions for another member of the House Financial Services Committee.

O'Shea brings over a decade of economic experience to the Center for Capital Markets Competitiveness. Previously, he was an associate for Morgan Stanley for seven years, and he earned his BS in economics from Virginia Tech. The CCMC is an offshoot of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and primarily deals with ensuring American leadership in global capital markets.
