Pro-India group adds Financial Services staffer

Posted by Keturah Hetrick on Feb. 20, 2018

Just in time for Donald Trump Jr.'s trip to promote family business interests in India, a new group advocating for strengthened U.S.-Indian relations has scooped up a Financial Services Committee staffer.

Brian Anderson is now senior director of financial services to the U.S.-India Strategic Partnership Forum. He had worked for the committee since 2015, most recently as counsel to Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer's (R-Mo.) Financial Institutions and Consumer Credit Subcommittee. Anderson holds a law degree from American University and a master's of legislative affairs from George Washington University.

USISPF launched last August and soon after began lobbying on trade and defense issues between the two countries. The group's board members include the former CIA director, retired Gen. David Petraeus, as well as a former Indian foreign secretary.
