Ex-lobbyist returns to Banking Committee

Posted by Keturah Hetrick on March 9, 2018

One ex-lobbyist and investment-asset director just couldn't stay away from the Senate Banking Committee.

Jonathan Gould is back as the majority committee's senior counsel. He left his counsel position with the committee 10 years ago for a job with Promontory Financial Group, a subsidiary of IBM.

Gould most recently worked as a director at BlackRock, the world's largest investment-management firm. He has also worked at Alston & Bird, where he lobbied on a variety of issues and filed as a foreign agent on behalf of Yohannes Hardian Widjonarko, an Indonesian timber magnate seeking to promote U.S.-Indonesian relations.
