The House received a communication from Daniel P. Beard, Chief Administrative Officer, U.S. House of Representatives. Pursuant to Rule VIII of the Rules of the House of Representatives, Daniel P. Beard notified the House that he had been served with a subpoena issued by the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, for production of documents in connection with a criminal case and that after consultation with the Office of General Counsel, he had determined that compliance with the subpoena was consistent with the precedents and privileges of the House.
