APPROVAL OF THE JOURNAL - The Speaker announced that he had examined the Journal of the last day's proceedings and had approved it. Mr. Miller (NC) demanded that the Speaker put the question on agreeing to the approval of the Journal and by voice vote, the Speaker announced that the ayes had prevailed. Mr. Miller (NC) demanded the yeas and nays and the Speaker announced that further proceedings on agreeing to the approval of the Journal would be postponed.
