The House received a communication from Ed Cassidy, Chief Administrative Officer. Pursuant to Rule VIII of the Rules of the House of Representatives, Mr. Cassidy notified the House that he had been served with a subpoena, issued by the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, for documents in a criminal case and that after consultation with the Office of General Counsel, he had determined that compliance with the subpoena is consistent with the precedents and privileges of the House.
