The House received a communication from The Honorable Bill Shuster. Mr. Shuster notified the House that on March 25, 2016, pursuant to section 3307 of Title 40, United States Code, the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure met in open session to consider 23 resolutions included in the General Services Administration's Capital Investment and Leasing Programs. The Committee continues to work to reduce the cost of federal property and leases. The 23 resolutions considered include 16 alteration projects, four construction projects, one building design and two leases. The projects authorized have either already been funded or are consistent with previous funding levels. In total, these resolutions represent more than $195 million in avoided lease costs. Mr. Shuster enclosed copies of the resolutions adopted by the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure.

The House received a message from the Clerk. Pursuant to the permission granted in Clause 2(h) of Rule II of the Rules of the U.S. House of Representatives, the Clerk notified the House that she had received a message from the Secretary of the Senate on May 27, 2016 at 9:22 a.m. stating that that body had passed H.R. 136, H.R. 1132, H.R. 2458, H.R. 2928, H.R. 3082, H.R. 3274, H.R. 3601, H.R. 3735, H.R. 3866, H.R. 4046, H.R. 4605, H.R. 433, S. 2465, S. 2891, and S. 1402. The message further made an appointment to the American Folklife Center of the Library of Congress.
