The House received a message from the Clerk. Pursuant to the permission granted in Clause 2(h) of Rule II of the Rules of the U.S. House of Representatives, the Clerk notified the House that she had received the following message from the Secretary of the Senate on September 19, 2016 at 10:06 a.m.: That the Senate passed H.R. 2494 amended, S. 2754, and S. 2848.

The House received a message from the Clerk. Pursuant to the permission granted in Clause 2(h) of Rule II of the Rules of the U.S. House of Representatives, the Clerk notified the House that she had received a message from the Secretary of the Senate on September 15, 2016 at 2:21 p.m. stating that that body had made an appointment to the Public Safety Officer Medal of Valor Review board.

The House received a communication from The Honorable Bill Shuster, Chairman, Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure. Pursuant to section 3307 of Title 40, United States Code, Chairman Shuster notified the House that the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure met in an open session on September 14, 2016 to consider 20 resolutions included in the General Service Administrations Capital Investment and Leasing Programs and that the Committee continues to work to reduce the cost of federal property and leases. Of the 20 resolutions considered, the four construction projects include federal courthouses consistent with existing funding, and the 16 lease prospectuses include significant reductions of leased space. In total, the resolutions represent $154 million in avoided lease costs and offsets. The message was referred to the Committe on Appropriations.
