The House received a communication from The Honorable Theodore E. Deutch, Chairman and the Honorable Jackie Walorski Ranking Member - Committee on Ethics. The Chairman and Ranking Member of the Committee on Ethics notified the House that on February 15, 2022, the Committee received notice of seven fines imposed upon Representative Andrew Clyde by the Sergeant at Arms pursuant to H. Res. 38 and House Rule II, clause 3(g) and that on March 17, 2022, the Committee received an appeal from Representative Clyde of the fines pursuant to H. Res. 38 and House Rule II, clause 3(g). The appeal was received after the Committee adopted its written rules and a majority of the Committee did not agree to the appeal.

APPOINTMENT OF OFFICIAL OBJECTORS - On behalf of the Majority and Minority Leaderships, the Chair announced that the official objectors for the Private Calendar for the 117th Congress were as follows: For the Majority: Ms. Jackson Lee, and Messrs. Cohen and Correa; for the Minority: Messrs. McClintock, Tiffany, and Roy.
