ANNOUNCEMENT BY THE SPEAKER PRO TEMPORE - Pursuant to clause 8(b)(3)(B) of rule I, the Honorable Patrick T. McHenry was designated Speaker pro tempore and the authorities of the Office of Speaker were bestowed upon the Speaker pro tempore to the extent necessary and appropriate until the election of a new Speaker.
