QUESTION OF THE PRIVILEGES OF THE HOUSE - Ms. Greene (GA) rose to a question of the privileges of the House and offered the resolution. The Chair directed the Clerk to report the resolution. Upon examination of the resolution, the Chair determined that the resolution did constitute a question of the privileges of the House.

The House received a communication from the Honorable Nancy Pelosi, Member of Congress. Pursuant to Rule VIII of the Rules of the House of Representatives, Ms. Pelosi notified the House that she had been served with third-party subpoenas from the prosecution and the defendant to produce documents in a criminal case in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California and that after consultation with the Office of General Counsel, she had determined that compliance with the subpoenas is consistent with the privileges and rights of the House to the extent it requires production of non-privileged information, and that the responses to the subpoenas will be identical.

Pursuant to the permission granted in Clause 2(h) of Rules II of the Rules of the U.S. House of Representatives, the Acting Clerk received the following message from the Secretary of the Senate on October 31, 2023, at 3:15 p.m.: That the Senate passed S. 1146.

POSTPONED PROCEEDINGS - At the conclusion of debate on H. Res. 773, the Chair put the question on agreeing to the resolution and by voice vote announced that the ayes had prevailed. Mr. D'Esposito demanded the yeas and nays and the Chair postponed further proceedings until a time to be announced.
