The Texas Office of State-Federal Relations (OSFR) was established in 1965 as a division of the Governor's Office and became a separate agency in 1971. The Executive Director of the agency is appointed by the Governor and approved by the Senate. The Governor, the Lieutenant Governor, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives serve as OSFR's Advisory Policy Board who prescribe or set OSFR's legislative agenda at the federal level.  read more
