Information
Organization's Own Description:
"All Kids Count" is a series of four 50-minute films dedicated to educating our nation’s children, as well as their parents/guardians, on the critical issues of internet safety, child abduction and targeted school violence. One film is for "parent-only" viewing; the other three are designed for kids, for ages five through sixteen. The child-safety/crime prevention programs deliver the information that needs to be conveyed to four different audiences.
Upstart Productions, a Los Angeles based film and television production company and creator of "All Kids Count," has developed a unique distribution formula to ensure that all kids are counted. Children check out the films from their school or public library and deliver it to the home environment for supervised viewing. All the while, libraries will be counting the number of people who received the films through barcode technology.
Upstart Productions, the creators of "All Kids Count," is a Los Angeles based film and TV production company whose focus is in family and children's programming.
"All Kids Count" is a non-profit endeavor for Upstart and funding is administered by the American Library Association, who serves as the Fiscal Agent for congressional appropriations. Upstart has been working on a volunteer basis on behalf of AKC, and contributed a great amount of time and resources to its success.
