  Rep. Jerry McNerney's (D-Calif.) newest hire is a former professional cheerleader and reality TV star.Jalina Porter started her congressional gig this month as a press and staff assistant. Prior to joining the Californian's staff, she was dancing for the local NBA team a mile away from the Capitol. She was a Washington Wizards Girl for the past two years, where she cheered on the team as it made it past the first round of the NBA playoffs two years in a row. Before moving to the East Coast, Porter was a cheerleader for the Oakland Raiders during the 2012 NFL season. read more
