The Lobbying Clients search covers clients on contracts with outside firms for reports after Q1 2008. Organizations which only have in-house lobbying (and no outside contracts) can be found on the registrant search. Spending per issue is estimated as the percentage of the total income or expenses on a contract, calculated by dividing the number of lobbyists assigned to an issue by the total lobbyist-issue assignments. Party affiliation is based on the past political positions (mostly congressional) of revolvers lobbying for the client on external contracts during the same quarter. See the About page for more details.
